WordPress is a free content management system anyone can use to power their website. It's open source, highly customisable and supported by a large community.
A wordpress theme is a ready-made design for your website. Whilst the WordPress platform runs your site, the theme is what visitors see. WordPress themes are very easy to install, and can make your website look like a blog, magazine, or anything else you can imagine.
No. Our themes work on self-hosted WordPress installations, so you'll need to have your own domain name and hosting. You can download the WordPress CMS from WordPress.org.
Simply add your desired theme(s) to your basket. You'll be taken to a checkout screen where you can make your purchase. If you've already registered with FrogsThemes, you'll be asked to login. Otherwise, you'll be asked to register now - don't worry, FrogsThemes will remember your basket so you don't have to add your themes again.
Once on the checkout screen you'll need to enter your name and email address - you'll then be taken to Paypal to make your purchase.
Once payment via Paypal is complete, you'll arrive back at our confirmation page letting you know whether or not your purchase was successful. You can then go to your account page to download your theme(s).
An email is usually sent as soon as your payment is approved. If you haven't received confirmation, and you can't log in within 24 hours, contact us with your username.
If your payment was successful, your themes should appear in the "Downloads" section of your FrogsThemes account. If you can't see your themes, it might mean that the payment is "Pending" - Paypal can take up to 48 hours to fully process payments. If this is the case, please contact us with your username and we'll manually approve your payment.
You need to be logged in to buy a theme, so you can either login and then browse the site to make your purchase, or add a theme to your basket and log in when you go to the checkout page.
Currently we use Paypal to process our orders. With Paypal you have the option of using your Paypal account to make a payment, or simply using a credit card as a one-off transaction.
If you're having trouble buying our themes, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you with the payment process.
Yes. If you've already purchased the standard package and would like to upgrade to the developer package, please contact us and we'll sort out the upgrade for you. We refund your original payment after you purchase the developer version.
No. If you've purchased a single site package it's yours forever.
No. Single site packages don't include a PSD file, but developer packages do. See our features table for more information on what's included.
The PSD file is the theme design in its original PhotoShop format. It's useful if you want to make your own changes to the design or structure of the site. Designers, freelancers and agencies often choose to download the PSD so that they can make quick changes to a design or customise it in a specific way.
The developer package also gives you a multi-site licence, meaning you can use the theme on as many sites as you like. The individual package gives you a single licence, so you can only use the theme on one website.
Yes. All of our themes are supported from WP 2.7+ unless otherwise stated. If you're running an older version of WordPress you might encounter problems with some theme functionality.
We test all of our themes on the latest versions of Firefox and Safari, and Internet Explorer 6+. It doesn't matter which operating system you're running - our themes are independent of this and will work as long as WordPress is installed correctly.
Our themes are updated when we spot bugs, and when new versions of WordPress are released. Changes to our themes are documented in our changelog pages.
If you haven't customised your theme or made any modifications to it, you can just upload the new theme and overwrite the old one. If you have made modifications you'll need to read the changelog to see which files need updating. You can find this and all the theme documentation on the theme's information page.
Most plugins are compatible with our themes. However, there are thousands of WordPress plugins available and we can't guarantee that all of them will work with our themes.
Yes. If you choose the developer package you get a multi-site licence, meaning that you can use the theme on as many sites as you like.
If you've chosen to buy one of our themes, either the single or developer package, you can remove the credit link on that theme. If you've downloaded a free theme you need to leave the credit in place. Free themes use the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported Licence
All our themes offer the option to allow you to up your own logo. Each theme may differ so view theme documentation and features prior to purchasing.
